It was her birthday party. I had proposed to her six months ago, and she had accepted.
Now it was her birthday, and I was very excited about it.
I was in the 3rd year and had no more money to spend it on any costly gift, so i decided to give her a silver (color) ring which cost 280 Rupees, and i am pretty sure that she liked it.
We met at 6:00 p.m. She looked very beautiful; I proposed to her on my knee with the ring. She was quite shocked and loved this ring. After that, I gave her a Cadbury instead of a cake.
Next day, i called her but she didn’t pick my call, after lots of trying she picked up and says that she doesn’t love me and much more blah blah blah….after 2–3 days I come to know she is in relationship with a rich guy, who had proposed her on birthday with an old iPhone.
It was her birthday again, not that bitch, it was my mothers birthday, and i forgot to take any gift, I wake up with the shitty face, and go outside silently, purchased a 40Rs Cadbury family pack chocolate and wish my mom a very happy birthday.
My mother’s face shone with a smile as i gave her a costly thing, she hugged me and said, “you remember my birthday” and I replied, “yes”.
She prepared a very tasty meal for me, and after breakfast, she cut the chocolate into four pieces and distributed them between us, and shockingly,y I said,
“Mom it’s your gift why you are distributing?”
And you know what she replied,
“She said, you are the greatest and the most special gift of mine and nothing else is bigger than the happiness of my child”
Mother’s love is greater than anything. That day I understood what real love is.
